Four Armenian chess players to take part in European Women's Individual Chess Championship
The European Women's Individual Chess Championship is set to kick off in Riga on April 11.
As the National Olympic Committee of Armenia (NOC) told Panorama.am, four chess players of the Armenian women's national chess team – Grand Master Elina Danielian, International Masters Lilit Mkrtchyan and Lilit Galoyan and Women's International Master Maria Gevorgyan, will represent Armenia in the championship.
In an interview with NOC, couch of the Armenian women's national chess team Arthur Chibukhchyan noted that currently the team is holding intensive trainings in Yerevan and from 1 to 8 April the chess team is set to hold a training camp in Tsaghkadzor.
The best 14 chess players of the European championship will qualify for the Women's World Chess Championship.
