Prime Minister: Armenia interested in fostering relations with Turkmenistan
Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received on Wednesday Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan Charymyrat Purchekov who is on a visit to Armenia to attend the eight meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian commission on economic cooperation.
As the government press service reports, PM Karapetyan has noted that Armenia is interested in development of the relations between the two states, highlighting the great potential in the economic sphere and, especially, the energy sector. With a view to foster the cooperation, the interlocutors have stressed the importance of PM Karapetyan’s upcoming official visit to Turkmenistan to discuss matters, projects and programs of mutual interest.
According to the official release, PM Karapetyan, Minister Purchekov have reflected on the trade and economic relations, energy corridors, the importance of expanding the legal field as well as the cooperation in the sphere of agriculture, air connection, education, science, culture, the humanitarian sphere.
