Powerful cyclone to grip Armenia in coming days, Gagik Surenyan says
On 16 March, at night of March 17 and 19, as well as in the daytime of March 18 the entire territory of Armenia will be under the influence of a powerful cyclone. Head of Meteorological Center of Hydromet Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations Gagik Surenyan noted the aforesaid in a post on Facebook.
“In the mentioned period precipitations are expected in all the regions of the republic at times. Snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas and wet snow in foothills with strong winds at a speed of up to 15-20 meters per second, blizzards and clear ice over the roads in certain regions. Precipitations will take the form of rain in valleys. In the daytime of March 17 and 19, overnight Mach 18 no precipitation is forecast in the territory of Armenia,” Surenyan detailed.
