Air temperature to drop by 8-10 °C in Armenia
From March 18 daytime to March 19 morning the entire territory of Armenia will be under the influence of a powerful Scandinavian cyclone, Head of Meteorological Center of Hydromet Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Gagik Surenyan noted in a post on Facebook.
“In the mentioned period precipitations are expected in all the regions of the republic at times.
Snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas and wet snow in foothills with strong winds at a speed of up to 15-20 meters per second, blizzards and clear ice over the roads in certain regions. Precipitations will take the form of rain in valleys, Surenyan wrote, adding: “In the daytime of March 19 no precipitation is forecast. The air temperature will rise today by 5-7 °C and decrease by 8-10 °C tomorrow in the daytime. On March 19 and 20 the temperature will again rise by 8-10 °C.”
