Two Armenian boxers reach quarter-finals of European U/22 Championships
The 2017 European Under 22 Boxing Championships are underway in Brăila, Romania. Four representatives of Armenia held bouts yesterday. Two of them secured victories and reached the quarter-finals, according to a report by the Boxing Federation of Armenia.
Gurgen Madoyan (69kg) and heavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan suffered losses.
Arthur Hovhannisyan (49kg) defeated the boxer from Italy and Narek Manasyan (91kg) won the bout against the boxer representing Israel.
Today Alen Danielyan (56kg) and Hrayr Shahverdyan (60kg) will fight to make it through to the quarter-finals.
