2.5 magnitude quake hits Armenia
On March 18, at 00:40 local time (GMT – 20:40), the Seismological Network of Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) registered a 2.5 magnitude earthquake at Latitude 40.380°N and Longitude 44.150°E geographic coordinates (10 km north-west from Armenia’s Byurakan village) at the depth of 10 km.
As the Press Service of the ministry reports, the tremor measured magnitude 3 points at the epicenter. The quake, however, was not felt in the territory of Armenia.
