The New-York - Yerevan Jazz Connection to feature unique variation of Armenian music
A unique concert featuring jazz star pianist Vahagn Hayrapetyan, bassist Ari Roland, saxophonist Zaid Nasser, singer Yaala Ballin, drums - Keith Balla as well as the chief conductor and the artistic director of the National Chamber Orchestra of Yerevan Vahan Martirosyan will take place on March 22 at Aram Khachatourian Concert Hall.
As the ministry of culture reports, Vahagn Hayrapetyan’s Jazz Quintet will perform a new music dialogue for the first time along with the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (NCOA) to present both traditional jazz music and variations of Armenian songs.
“This kind of unique presentation of jazz compositions contribute to the popularization of the Armenia music around the world. Unique performance of the Armenian music by singer Yaala Ballin will pleasantly surprise the Armenian audience as well,” the ministry informed.
