Ambassador Toganyan: Securing Russian investment in Armenia important aspect of our work
A delegation of CEOs at number of Russian medium-size companies will arrive in Armenia on March 23, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan told a press conference, speaking of the perspectives to boost Russian investments in Armenia.
“A group of 30 people, representing the Russian Agency for strategic initiatives adjacent to the Russian President - the so-called the club of business leaders will arrive in Armenia tomorrow. The group is headed by Artyom Avetisyan. Along with the Armenian government-affiliated Center for Strategic Initiatives the group is set to hold a session, tour number of enterprises in Armenia and discuss various investment projects,” the Ambassador noted.
He next stressed that the most important aspect of their work is securing Russian investments in Armenia.
To remind earlier, Armenian Prime Minister came up with a proposal to set up an Armenian-Russian investment fund with a view to funding Armenia’s priority economic sectors. The Russian side positively assessed the proposal with Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev saying Russian companies will show interest in the issue.
