There are number of reasonable plans in the negotiation table for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict over which the sides must negotiate and find solutions, the OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair Richard Hoagland told a press conference on Monday in Yerevan, when asked to comment on Armenia’s position on the resolution plan under consideration.

In Hoagland’s words, the diplomacy is aimed at creating conditions for the sides to come to the negotiation table and raise their key disagreements.
 
The U.S. Co—Chair went on suggesting the plan under consideration does not differ significantly from previous plans aimed at the resolution of the conflict, adding the plan is backed by the international community, the OSCE, the Co-Chairs.

Ambassador Hoagland rejected the idea the initiative is called “Lavrov plan”.  “We do not use such expression. There is a plan which is being circulated: it is comprised of 3 parts, but at the moment I find it inappropriate to present details over it. The sides are working on this”, he stressed, adding different plans and statements had been presented over the past years, yet the current initiative envisages new ways and solutions that could be acceptable to all the sides of the conflict.
