Artsakh President sets out priorities in successful implementation of the constitutional reforms
Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan called today an enlarged consultation dedicated to the implementation of the constitutional reforms, Information department at the President’s Office reported.
In his speech, Bako Sahakyan noted that the reforms claimed from the public system comprehensive, systematic, long-standing, active and task-oriented work.
The Head of the State highlighted that conscientious attitude of all the competent and responsible authorities towards the solution of set tasks, coordinated team work, considerable effort put toward it are the basis of successful implementation of the constitutional reforms, expressing confidence that efficient activities and all the possible would be done towards ensuring the implementation of the constitutional reforms and putting the Constitution into effect.
National Assembly Chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, premier Arayik Haroutyunyan, representatives of the legislative, executive and judicial powers partook in the consultation.
To remind, the constitutional referendum was held in Artsakh on February20, 2017 with around 87% voted in favor of proposed amendments
The new constitution changes the official name of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic to the “Artsakh Republic” and will change the system of the country’s governance from a semi-presidential to fully-presidential system.
