Kent Härstedt says human rights protection among top priorities of his activity
Armenian Human Right Defender Arman Tatoyan presented the new constitutional regulations of the RA Law on the Human Rights Defender and the ongoing works toward their application in a meeting with Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kent Härstedt.
According to the press statement, issued by the Office of the Human Rights Defender, Kent Härstedt has spoken about his candidacy to the post of the head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), saying the human rights protection is among the top priorities of his activities, vowing his commitment to actively work in that direction.
He has also praised the role and the works done by the Ombudsman in the sphere of human rights.
The interlocutors expressed readiness to hold regular working meetings, the release added.
