Boleslav Pirshtuk says all conditions created to conduct transparent elections in Armenia
Armenia’s new Electoral Code is a valuable and well-formed document that considers the interests of all stakeholders, Boleslav Pirshtuk, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus told reporters on Saturday.
Pirshtuk who had arrived in Armenia to monitor the parliamentary elections said he had received no complaints about the Electoral Code from political forces and electors alike.
“That is the most positive aspect of this document,” the speaker pointed.
In Belarusian official’s assessment, all conditions are created to hold transparent elections in Armenia, starting from the formation of the precinct elections commissions to the voting and counting of the ballots, using technical equipment. Pirshtuk expressed confidence opposition forces would have no occasion to complain about the election results.
Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarusian National Assembly noted the observers on a monitoring mission in Armenia had followed the pre-election campaign with largely positive evaluation and no violations registered.
The speaker once again praised the Electoral Code suggesting his colleagues from other states to take Armenia’s example as basis for electoral reforms.
“We wish everything to go well in our brotherly Armenia,” Boleslav Pirshtuk concluded.
