Levon Aronian comes 9th in April 2017 FIDE Rating List
The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has published April 2017 FIDE Rating List.
World Champion Magnus Carlsen (2838) continues to lead The Top Players List. Wesley So (2822) ranks the second and Fabiano Caruana (2817) concludes the top three. Armenian GM Levon Aronian holds the 9th position with 2774 points.
Standard Top 100 Men April 2017 features three Armenian chess players. In particular, Sergei Movsesian (2677) ranks the 67th, Vladimir Hakobyan (2675) comes the 70th and Gabriel Sargsyan (2666) holds the 86th position.
The Top 100 Women April 2017 list is headed by Yifan Hou (2649). Ju Wenjun (2596) holds the second position. Anna Muzychuk comes the third with 2587 points. Armenian chess player Elina Danielian ranked the 42nd with 2437 points and Lilit Mkrtchian took the 48th position with 2425 points.
