Prime Minister voted, hopes for peaceful and tolerant atmosphere during elections
Armenia’s Prime Minister fulfilled his civic duty in the country’s parliamentary elections on Sunday and voted at the 4/53 polling station in Yerevan. He was accompanied by his wife.
He told reporters that he came to the polling station with a very good mood.
In response to a question about the chances of the Republican Party, the Prime Minister said, “Time will show.”
He was next asked about a possible coalition with other political forces, to which he responded, that everything will be clear after the elections.
When asked about the mechanisms to fight against vote rigging, Karen Karapetyan noted that embedded mechanisms will be sufficient to prevent electoral fraud.
"I truly wish for these elections to proceed in quiet, peaceful and tolerant atmosphere," he said.
