Cyprus Chess Open: Armenian players start with victories
Cyprus Chess Open 2017 has launched at Skopje, Macedonia with 197 chess players, including 15 GMs and 18 IMs from 30 states taking part in it. The games of the first three rounds of the tournament were held at the weekend.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am, three Armenian chess players competing in the Cyprus Open – GMs Robert Hovhannisyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and IM Manuel Petrosyan performed successfully at the three rounds. Hovhannisyan and Ter-Sahakyan won their three games and Manuel Petrosyan claimed victory in the two games and drew the third game.
