IS behind St. Petersburg bombing, Armenian expert says
Expert on Arabic studies Sargis Grigoryan labels the St. Petersburg subway blast as a terror attack. During today’s press conference, the expert noted that according to the preliminary theory, the attack falls on the Islamic State, although no group has taken the responsibility of the bombing yet.
“Let’s put aside the claims that the attack was a result of Russian inner mechanism. However, the acting style of the IS is evident here and this time it targeted Russia. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber and it is the first time that the attacker is from the central Asia. This shows that the range is expanding,” S. Grigoryan said.
In the words of the expert on Arabic studies, yesterday the IS spokesperson issued a message, however he did not mention anything about the St. Petersburg blast. “I think they [IS] is likely to take the responsibility afterwards. The complete analysis shows that the threat is growing and becoming rampant. We deal with a phenomenon that becomes widespread,” he said.
Sargis Grigoryan summed up stating that not all the Muslims are terrorists and not all the terrorists are Muslims.
