Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan becomes European champion
European Weightlifting Championship is coming to its end in Split, Croatia. Today, Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan became a Champion of Europe in 105kg weight class. The Armenian athlete lifted a total of 414kg (184+230).
As the National Olympic Committee of Armenia told Panorama.am, Bulgaria's weightlifter Vasil Gospodinov took the second place and Arkadiusz Michalski from Poland came the third.
In the same weight class, another Armenian representative Samvel Gasparyan took the 6th place with a total of 375kg (165+210).
Armenian weightlifters Gor Minasyan and Ruben Aleksanyan will begin competing today in the evening in +105kg weight class.
