European Individual Women's Chess Championship to kick off April 11
European Individual Women's Chess Championship is set to kick off in Riga, Latvia on April 11.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am, members of Armenian chess team, GM Elina Danielian, IMs Lilit Mkrtchyan, Lilit Galoyan and WIM Maria Gevorgyan will represent Armenia in the tournament. Based on the tournament results, 14 chess players will qualify for Women's World Chess Championship.
A total of 145 chess players, including 12 GMs, 31 WGMs, 31 IMs, 22 WIMs, 5 FMs and 18 WFMs take part in the European championship.
The chief arbiter of the European Individual Women's Chess Championship is IA Ashot Vardapetyan.
