Mikheil Janelidze: Armenia, Georgia have huge unused potential
Georgian FM Mikheil Janelidze congratulated Armenians for the successful conduct of the parliamentary elections and the shift to a parliamentary form of government. Janelidze’a remarks came at the beginning of the joint press conference held with Armenian FM Edward Nalbadian on Tuesday in Yerevan.
The Georgian FM informed issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation of Armenia and Georgia were discussed during the negotiations.
“At the meeting, cooperation in all directions were touched upon, it was bilaterally stressed the need to invigorate the political dialogue between the sides. We also discussed perspectives for development of the trade and economic relations, development in spheres like the energy, tourism, education and art,” the Georgian minister said.
Mikheil Janelidze pointed out Armenia and Georgia have huge unused potential, in particular, the transit potential of the two countries through joint projects in the sphere of transport and logistics, including the use of the Black Sea infrastructure
“Armenia and Georgia are linked through century-long friendship and good-neighborly traditions, yet the year 2017 marks a unique date for our bilateral relations. We are marking the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Due to joint efforts, we managed to develop mutually beneficial partnership during these years, which is based on trust,” the Georgian minister concluded.
