Armenia, Kyrgyzstan have obvious advantages in EAEU, Russia’s Putin says
In an interview with Mir Russian TV Company, President of Russia Vladimir Putin have talked about the influence of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the economies of its member states after its formation and completely rejected the claims that the sanctions imposed on Russia have also hit its member states.
“Frankly speaking the sanctions play no role here, i.e. their impact is on minimum level. The structural changes in the global markets have left a serious impact, which certainly effected the Russian economy. That negative structure have also hit the economies of our partners. Moreover, that influence was left directly, not through us [EAEU],” Putin announced.
Russian President has also talked about the advantages and the opportunities that have emerged due to the economic integration. According to Putin, Russia runs a highly balanced economic policy.
“In case we consider such states as for instance Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, that joined the EurAsian Economic Community (EurAsEC) later, we can see that the advantages are obvious. The turnover volumes of the latter have drastically increased,” Putin added.
