Tehran denies reports of summoning its ambassador in Baku
The Azerbaijani reports of summoning the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh do not correspond to reality, Iranian “Azariha.org” news outlet reported on Saturday.
The source recalled media reports that officials in Baku called on the Iranian ambassador over the alleged participation of Iranian experts in the reconstruction works of the Iranian mosque in Shoushi, Artsakh.
As the Iranian outlet wrote, in response to the “Badqube” newspaper request to comment on the report of summoning the ambassador, the foreign ministry of the Islamic Republic noted the Ambassador Jahangirzadeh had not been summoned in Baku being out of Azerbaijani and returning to his job duties on April 13 - days after the report of summoning came out.
To note, Azerbaijani source earlier reported on summoning the Iranian ambassador, quoting the spokesperson of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry, while on the dame day the Iranian media outlets intensively covered the story of the demolition of two mosques in Baku.
