Armenian boxers getting ready for European Boxing Championships
“Seven out of eight Armenian boxers conquered medals. Certainly I am pleased with our guys,” David Torosyan, Head Coach of the Armenian National Boxing Team, said commenting on the results of David Kvachadze International Boxing Tournament held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
“Except heavyweight David Chaloyan, all the boxers gained medals with three of them taking the first positions. Highly strong athletes got together in Tbilisi tournament. The boxing teams of Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan also took part in the championship.
Now we will continue getting ready for the European Boxing Championships to be held in Kharkiv on 14-26 June. Some of the boxers will continue to train with me in Dynamo with the rest of them holding trainings in local places. At the end of May we plan to depart for Warsaw to hold a joint training and friendly tournament with the Polish team. Prior to that, we are likely to hold a training camp in Tsaghkadzor,” David Torosyan said.
