Aronian, Carlsen played draw at GRENKE Chess Classic 2017
The second round of the GRENKE Chess Classic 2017 took place in Germany with the central game between the World Champion Magnus Carlsen and Armenia’s GM Levon Aronian. The game ended in draw despite the slightly better position of the world champion.
As Chess Federation of Armenian reports, Hou Yifan leads the tables after two rounds, followed by Carlsen, Aronian, Caruana, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, and Arkadij Naiditsch with 1 points each.
In the round third, Armenian GM will face Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
