Turkey referendum: Protests continue in Turkish cities
Thousands of people took to the streets of Turkey’ capital Istanbul to protest the results of the referendum that extended powers of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to a report by RIA Novosti, protests were also staged at Besiktas and Kadikoy districts of Turkey.
To note, according to the results of the constitutional referendum held in Turkey on Sunday, the country switched from a parliamentary to a presidential system of governance. According to the preliminary results, 51.4 percent of the voters voted in favor of the constitutional amendments.
