Taekwondoist Arsen Grigoryan named the winner of “Fujairan Open 2017”
The Armenian Taekwondo Team participated at “Fujairan Open 2017” representative tournament held in Iranian Sari. As the National Olympic Committee of Armenia (ANOC) reports, taekwondoist Arsen Grigoryan (87 kg) won a gold medal at the tournament, while another representative of Armenia Sergey Vardazaryan (68 kg) won a bronze medal.
ANOC reports that overall 26 teams from 19 countries participated in the G-1 category tournament, where the Armenian team, headed by coach Gevorg Danielyan, was placed the fourth in the country competition.
Apart from the medalist our national team comprised of Albert Hivhannisyan Garegin Makhmuryan (58 kg), Henrikh Badalyan (68 kg) and Davit Vardumyan (74 kg).
The national team is set to prepare for the World Championships to be held in South Korea in May, the release added.
