“Nation-Army 2017” conference opened in Yerevan
Nation-Army 2017 conference, organized by Armenian Ministry of Defense along with Ministry of Education and Science kicked off at Karen Demirtchyan Sports and Concerts Complex on Thursday in Yerevan.
The conference that addresses the issues of military education in Armenia, was attended by Armenia’s President Sargsyan along with officials of military and educational institutions, heads of public and higher educational institutions, teachers, lecturers, representatives of scientific centers and NGOs.
After the opening ceremony, the conference will proceed its work in two thematic discussions: “Nation-Army: Security Formula” and “Prospects of the military education in the Republic of Armenia.”
In the scope of the conference an education fair is opened in the territory of the Sports and Concerts Complex where number of leading educational institutions will provide updated information on their education programmes, enrollment and achievements.
In separate platforms and pavilions items of military technique, products of the RA military industry are displayed. The conference also envisages a competition programme with prizes for the winners. Additionally, meetings with the Artsakh war veterans as well as the serviceman who participated in the April four-day war are planned in the frames of the event.
