The Armenian soldier becoming more and more combat ready, Deacon Narek Petrosyan says
“Today, the Armenian soldier hasn’t changed since the Vardanants War. One vivid evidence of that was the April war,” clergyman of the RA Armed Forces Deacon Narek Petrosyan told Panorama.am.
He referred to a stereotype dominating in the society that the current generation is not that patriotic and keen on fighting for the homeland, yet the April war showed that the Armenian soldier is becoming more and more combat ready.
“Today, we have regular, insightful army. The Armed Forces are able to ensure the comprehensive development of the Armenian soldier. In many cases, the Armenian soldier does not receive the spiritual, military, intellectual education in families, then in army, especially due to the hard work of our officers,” Deacon Narek Petrosyan said.
“If a clergyman serves in the Armed Forces, he stands aside the soldier and is committed to do whatever the soldiers, brothers, and sons are tasked with, and inspire after all, and defend if needed,” he added.
To remind, the Spiritual Service in the RA Defense Ministry participates in the “Nation-Army” military exhibition opened at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Center.
