Artsvik says ready to make Armenia proud of herself at Eurovision
“My dreams are coming true,” Armenia’s representative in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest told a press conference on Thursday, adding, at the stage of the Armenian national selection for contest, she could not even dream of her participation at the biggest music event in Europe.
“I hesitated much before making a decision to take part in the competition. Ultimately, I thought it would be better to go after your dreams,” the singer said, expressing her delight over the chance to represent Armenia in Kiev.
“Me along with my team will do our best to represent Armenia properly,” she said.
To remind, Artsvik is set to perform “Fly with me” song, which is composed by Lilith Navasardyan and Levon Navasardyan.
At the press conference, Artsvik said she hadn’t the opportunity to listen to live performances of all the participants to decide on her main rival.
“Let me be clear, I have come to Eurovision not to compete. I want to turn my participation into a holiday, celebration. since it had been my long-cherished dream. Apparently, I want to perform well to make my country proud of me,” she said.
To note, Artsvik will perform under Number 16 during the first Semi-Final of Eurovision Song Contest to be held on May 9. The second Semi-Final of the contest will be held on May 11 and the Final on May 13. A total of 43 states take part in Eurovision 2017.
