Lebanese minister points out Armenia’s investment attractions
State Minister for Planning Affairs of Lebanon Michel Pharaon spoke of the investment attraction of Armenia on Friday, saying the country might be interesting to Lebanese investors. “Mr. Minister, I invite you and your tam to Lebanon and suggest holding a joint investment forum aimed at presenting Armenia’s investment potential to Lebanese business community as well as establish business links” the minister said at a meeting with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investment Suren Karayan in Yerevan.
According to the Ra Economic Development Ministry release, the Lebanese minister added the forum would serve another opportunity for strengthening the economic relations between the two countries, pointing out also the introduced mechanisms, aimed at facilitating the private investments.
To note, following the talks, the ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries, aimed at expanding the economic cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon, increase of the turnover, development and deepening of the mutually beneficial collaboration in the spheres of bilateral interest, establishment of business links.
Assisting to small and medium-size enterprises, encouraging investments and setting up joint enterprises are some of the directions outlined to be activated by the cooperation.
