Yerevan Zoo to open for new season on Monday
Yerevan Zoo is ready to welcome guests for the 2017 season and will open on Monday May 1 at 9:00 a.m., head of the press department at the Zoo Mane Madoyan told Panorama.am.
In her words, reconstruction works are still underway in the zoo, as certain territories will be closed for the visitors. As Madoyan informed, one news for the coming season is that old enclosures have been demolished and turned into a green space.
“The new phase of the reconstruction envisages more enclosures for lions, establishment of a new quarantine center in the Zoo which is a special space for the newly arrived animals as well as he constructions of the enclosures for wolves and bears,” Madoyan said.
She also pointed the construction of an observation deck, that will allow visitors to view the space.
