Armenia’s Yuri Khachaturov assumes the post of CSTO Secretary General
Former Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Yuri Khachaturov has assumed today the post of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General. As the official website of the organization reported, Khachaturov convened a meeting with the secretariat at the organization’s headquarters in Moscow.
“Out task is always to follow the main principle of the organization - all for one and one for all,” Khachaturov noted at the meeting, s quoted by the press service of the CSTO.
Among the priorities ahead of the organization, Khachaturov has pointed the further strengthening of the cooperation between the member states.
To note, the Collective Security Treaty Organization comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The total strength of the combined special task forces is about 3,000 servicemen.
