“Immortal Regiment” march held in Yerevan
More than a hundred of people participated today in the ‘Immortal Regiment’ march to commemorate soldiers who had fought or died in the Artsakh liberation, April wars as well as during the World War II.
The march aimed at preserving the memory of those who fought for the fatherland and pass their patriotic spirit to younger generations.
Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of Armenia’s defense ministry and diplomatic corps accredited to Armenia, clergymen of the Armenian Apostolic Church, students from Artsakh and Armenian regions joint the march.
The event participants carried portraits of the soldiers who had fought during Artsakh and April war as well as the veterans of the World War II.
The march was organized by Armenian-Russian Youth Unity NGO, the RA Veterans’ Union and Yerkrapah Volunteer Union with the support of the Youth Foundation of Armenia.
