Eurovision 2017 Semi-final 1 kicks off today; Armenia’s Artsvik performs under Number 16
Semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2017 song contest will be held on May 9 in Kyiv, Ukraine, with Armenia’s Artsvik performing under Number 16. The contest will be broadcast live on the Public TV Company of Armenia and the Public Radio starting from 11 p.m.
This year, the contest will be covered by Gohar Gasparyan and Avet Barseghyan, hosts of the Public TV of Armenian, with Armenian delegate for Eurovision 2016 Iveta Mukuchyan announcing the points of Armenia.
The stage floor of Eurovision 2017 measures 350 square meters and weighs 30 tons. A total of 800 workers were involved in the stage construction works. Unprecedented number of sound and lighting equipment will be used during the contest.
As the Public Relations Department of the Public TV informs, Artsvik will be accompanied by two dancer, who will wear Armenian silver jewelry and resemble birds. Three back vocalists will also join the Armenian singer on the stage.
