“The Big Star of Small Armenia” - Match TV present another film about Henrikh Mkhitaryan
“From Yerevan to Manchester through several stops,” Russian Match TV Sport Channel described Armenian national team captain and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s career. The film reflects on what it calls ‘Armenian express Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s career, focusing on key moments of his childhood, adulthood, and youth in trying to reveal ‘who has taught him playing football.”
The Russian reporters have made the film in Yerevan. Accompanied by former player of Yerevan Ararat Club Ashot Sahakyan they visited Mkhitaryan’s house, talked to his neighbors. They visited the school Mkhitaryan used to attend, the Yerevan football club Pyunik academy, where the player started his professional career.
Former head coach of Armenia national team has told the reporters he never had problems with the player while training the national team and it has always been quite easy to work with him.
The film authors also argue that Mkhitaryan is the best player from the former Soviet Union states. “Mkhtaryan is the big star of small Armenia,” concluded the film.
