Russian-Armenian filmmaker Anna Melikyan’s “About Love 2” to close Kinotavr Film Festival
The 28th Kinotavr Russian Film Festival will be opened with the film “Cold Tango” directed by Pavel Chukhray, with Russian-Armenian young filmmaker Anna Melikyan’s film “About love: Only for adults” to be screened at the end of the film festival. The young director’s film is also known as “About Love 2”. To note, Anna Melikyan’s film “About Love” won the grand prize of the 26th Kinotavr Film Festival in 2015 and “Golden Eagle” awards for the best feature film in 2016.
As RIA Novosti Russian news agency reports, Kinotavr Film Festival is scheduled on 7-14 June. The jury of the festival will be headed by Yevgeny Mironov, actor, artistic Director of the Theatre of Nations.
The competition program of Kinotavr 2017 features 14 films. Karen Shakhnazarov's "Anna Karenina" TV series version and Andrei Zvyagintsev's film "No Love” are included in the festival’s non-competition program, as reported by Interfax.
