Electricity production rises 9.3% in Armenia January-March
In January-March 2017, a total of 2 billion 101.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was produced in Armenia, increasing by 9.3% to compare with the same period of the previous year, as reported by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the NSS data, in January-March, the electricity generation at terminal power plants rose by 38.4%, amounting to 865.0 million kilowatt-hours.
Electricity production volumes at hydropower plants cut down by 12.7%, totaling to 424.5 million kilowatt-hours.
In the mentioned period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant produced 811.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
