Iran’s MFA spox comments on Turkish-Iranian border wall
“Iran attaches great importance to ensuring stability along its border with Turkey,” Bahram Ghasemi, Spokesman of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced at a press conference on Monday, as reported by MEHR Iranian news agency.
Referring to Turkey’s decision on constructing a wall along the Turkish-Iranian border, Mr. Ghasemi in particular said: “The Turkish side has briefed Iran on that process. However, it is to be noted that the wall will not be constructed at the zero border point.
Tehran welcomes any measure that promotes stability and security on the two countries’ borders. The border security is significant for Iran and Turkey.”
