Investigative Committee receives 17 reports on electoral fraud during Yerevan Council elections
As of 13:00 May 17, the Yerevan investigation divisions of the Investigative Committee of Armenia have received 17 reports on electoral breaches during the Yerevan Council of Elders elections. The reports feature evident crime elements prescribes by the RA Criminal Code.
As the Committee details, 6 out of the mentioned 17 reports were received in Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts Investigation Division, 4 – in Avan and Nor Nork Investigation Division, 3 – in Kanaker-Zeytn Division, 2 – in Arabkir Division, 1 – in Investigation Divisions of Avan, Kentron and Nork Marsh and Shengavit Administrative Districts.
The reported in the proceedings of the Committee’s regional divisions mainly refer to attempts of double voting, as well as violation of voting confidentiality.
Necessary procedural measures are taken aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the mentioned reports.
