
President Sargsyan accepts Cabinet’s resignation
Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan has signed a decree on accepting the resignation of the Armenian Government.
“Governed by Party 4 of Article 55 of the RA Constitution with then amendments of 2005, and taking into account the fact that on May 18 2017 the first session of the newly elected National Assembly was convened, I decide:
1. To accept the resignation of the Government of the Republic of Armenia,” reads part of the President’s decree.
The document also notes that the members of the Armenian government are to continue fulfilling their duties until the formation of a new government.
The President’s decree takes effect from the moment of its signing.
