Newly-elected MPs took oath at first parliament session
Following the Armenian president’s speech at the first session of the 6th convocation of the Armenian National Assembly (NA), the newly-elected Members of Parliament took an oath pursuant to the NA Rules of Procedure.
Knyaz Hasanov, the senor MP who is chairing the session, read the oath text, which is as follows: “For the sake of the implementation of all-national goals and strengthening and prosperity of the Motherland, I swear to carry out conscientiously my obligations before the people, adhere to the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, promote the maintenance of self-sovereignty and interests of the Republic of Armenia, do everything for the maintenance of civil solidarity, national and all-human values.”
After the oath taking ceremony, the chair of the session officially announced the total number of newly-elected MPs (105), names of parties and blocs and presented the MPs, reading out the names and surnames of each of them, names of their parties or blocs. Afterwards, the deputies were registered.
