Aram Hakobyan claims first victory at “World’s Youth Stars” international chess tournament
Armenian chess player Aram Hakobyan won the game against Kirill Shyotkin in the first round of the “World’s Youth Stars” international chess tournament in Kirishi, Russia, on May 17. Chess Federation of Armenia reports, another representative of Armenia Shant Sargsyan played draw with Sergey Lobanov.
World’s Youth Stars” international chess tournament is the first leg of European Youth Grand Prix. The tournament was scheduled for May 16-18, 2017, in Kirishi, while the second leg will be held in Jermuk, Armenia, in October 2017. The final stage will be held in Kirishi in May 2018.
