Police have arrested a man, 23, in connection with the terror attack at Manchester Arena, Metro reported.

‘With regards to the ongoing investigation into last night’s horrific attack at the Manchester arena, we can confirm we have arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester,’ Greater Manchester Police said in a statement, according to the source.

The attack last night, which killed 22 people, is believed to have been carried out by a suicide bomber who died at the scene. Detectives are investigating whether the attacker acted in connection with others.

The man arrested is suspected of involvement however police have not given specifics.

To note, Isis has claimed responsibility for the bombing, which took place at the end of the concert when the audience was streaming toward the exits. Witnesses said they saw bolts and other bits of metal, indicating the bomb may have contained shrapnel intended to maximize injuries.
