Around half of humanitarian aid to Armenia in January-March 2017 came from Switzerland
According to the custom declarations data provided by the State Customs Committee under RA Government for the period of January-March, 2017, 486.8 tones of goods were imported into Armenia as humanitarian aid with total value of 6 081.9 million AMD or 12 508.8 thousand USD.
According to data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), 61.4% of the received aid comprised products of chemical and related industries, 11.7% - machinery, equipment, and mechanisms, 8.4% - articles of textile, 7.5% - equipment and appliances, 5.1% - different industrial products, 4.0% - other goods.
For indicated period, the US share of the provided humanitarian aid to Armenia has comprised 9.2%, while 16.2% came from the EU countries, 44.1% - Switzerland, 19.2% - from China.
