Artsakh President: ‘We will do everything possible in order to ensure quality education for our young people’
On 25 May a solemn ceremony of awarding a group of pupils from the NKR who won prizes and received certificates in the final stage of 2016-2017 subject Olympiads among schoolchildren held in the Republic of Armenia, as well as their teachers took place in the residence of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic President.
As the Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President reports, in his speech NKR President Sahakyan noted that a pivotal role was allocated to the development of education and science in our republic and various programs were being implemented in this direction with the aim to raise the education level of the younger generation, improve building conditions of and technical equipment of schools. “Contemporary education system is among the visiting card of our country and we will do everything possible in order to ensure quality education for our young people, developed in a comprehensive manner and step with the time,” underlined the Head of the State.
NKR National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghulyan, prime-minister Arayik Haroutyunyan and other officials took part in the event.
