Armenia’s Hayk Martirosyan to participate in Match of the Millennials: USA vs the World
The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis, in cooperation with US Chess Federation and World Chess Federation (FIDE), organizes the Match of the Millennials: USA vs the World to be held 24- 29 July 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
As Panorama.am was informed from the Chess Federation of Armenia told, the match will be played in two sections:
Team U.17 – four boards with a substitute. Players must be born on or after January 1st 2000.
Team U.14 – four boards consisting of two boys and two girls. U.14 Players must be born on or after January 1st, 2003.
The teams representing the World were selected by FIDE Trainers’ Commission and were approved by FIDE Presidential Board.
World youth U16 Champion IM Hayk Martirosyan of Armenia is included in Team U.17. GM Maghsoudloo Parham of Iran, IM Smirnov Anton of Australia, Chopra Aryan of India and Esipenko Andrey of Russia are in Team U.17 as well.
Team U.14 is consisted of IM Firouzja Alireza of Iran, IM Ramesh Babu Praggnanandhaa of India, WIM Assaubayeva Bibisara of Russia and WIM Salimova Nurgyul of Bulgaria. USA teams have not been published yet.
