Armenians greatly contributed to Georgian state-building process – Ambassador
The Georgian-Armenians made significant contribution to the state-building and development processes of Georgia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia Giorgi Saganelidze announced at an event dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the Independence of Georgia. The event was posted by Marriott Hotel in Yerevan, Armenia.
As Panorama.am was informed from the Public Relations Department of the Armenian National Assembly, Parliament Speaker Ara Babloyan also took part in the event.
“The centuries-long Armenian-Georgian relations have been established and developed through the course of history based on solid grounds of good neighborliness and mutual trust. The regular visits of the leaders of Armenia and Georgia paid recently, as well as the deepening of cooperation in different spheres come to prove the high level relations between our countries,” the Parliament speaker noted.
Mr. Babloyan also highlighted the recent activeness of Armenian-Georgian inter-parliamentary relations in cooperation sphere, adding that the issues will be under the spotlight of the lawmakers during the 6th convocation of the National Assembly. In Babloyan’s words, 2017 is a significant year in bilateral relations, since it marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Armenia.
Ara Babloyan expressed conviction that Georgia will continue its upward path of development with numerous achievements.
