Germany an important partner for Armenia – PM Karapetyan
Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on May 29 received Michael Harms, Managing Director of German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations. The Committee represents the leading business associations of the German economy, Panorama.am reports, citing the Press Service of the Armenian Government.
PM Karapetyan noted that Germany is an important partner for Armenia and the latter seeks to develop bilateral relations in various spheres. In the prime minister’s words, the Armenian Government is implementing reforms aimed at improving the business environment, as well as creating favorable conditions for foreign investments, adding that the government is open to discuss any mutually beneficial initiative aimed at promoting the trade and economic relations.
In his turn, Michael Harms welcomed the steps of the Armenian Government for improving the business climate and expressed readiness to assist the deepening of the Armenian-German cooperation in the economic sphere, making use of all the possible platforms.
In addition to this, the interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for joint programs in the energy, mining, agriculture, tourism, infrastructures and the other spheres.
Mr. Karapetyan tasked those in change to provide the German side with the information on the available package of investment program and be consistent in feedback process.
