Construction materials production cuts down in Armenia
According to the data released by the National Statistical Service (NSS) of Armenia, the production volumes of certain types of building materials have reduced in Armenia.
Namely, in January-March 2017 the cement production volumes cut down by 40.2% in Armenia to compare with the same period of 2016. 29.9 tons of cement was produced in Armenia within the three months in this year, comparing to the 50 tons of cement produced in the same period of 2016.
According to the NSS, within the first three months of 2017, the production of tuff, prefabricated reinforced concrete structures and gypsum mortar reduced by 15%, 47.2% and 52.2% respectively.
In parallel to this, in January-March 2017, the production volumes of glass containers rose by 2.1 times. Lime production increased by 32.6%, plaster production – by 43.3% and the production volumes of natural stone paving slabs rose by 89.3%.
