Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers getting ready for International Tournament
The Armenian national Greco-Roman wrestling team is holding a training camp at Olimpavan starting from 28 May, with the Armenian wrestlers getting ready for the International Wrestling Tournament in Tbilisi, Georgia, Panorama.am reports, citing the Armenian National Olympic Committee (ANOC).
As the source informs, head coach of the Armenian team Levon Julfalakyan have invited the following wresters to the training – Gevorg Gharibyan (59kg), Vazgen Khachatryan (59 kg), Taron Dumoyan (59 kg), Karen Aslanyan (66kg), Gor Sirekanyan (66 kg), Gevorg Khumaryan (66 kg), Varsham Boranyan (71 kg), Tigran Torosyan (71 kg), Hayk Arshakyan (71 kg), Arsen Julfalakyan (75 kg), Karapet Chalyan (75 kg), Hrant Kalachyan (75 kg), Sargis Kocharyan (80 kg), Rafik Manukyan (80 kg), Eduard Sargsyan (80 kg), Ruben Gharibyan (80 kg), Maxim Manukyan (85 kg), Argishty Abgaryan (85 kg), Artur Shahinyan (85 kg), Artur Aleksanyan (98 kg), Vagharshak Minasyan (98 kg), Karen Abgaryan (98 kg), Vachik Yeghiazaryan (130 kg) and Edgar Khachatryan (130 kg).
In an interview with the ANOC, Levon Julfalakyan noted that all the Armenian wrestlers taking part in the training camp are likely to participate at Tbilisi tournament except Varsham Boranyan, Rafael Aleksanyan and Arsen Julfalakyan. The head coach informed that Arsen will miss the championship due to its existing rules, while the other two Armenian wrestlers have sustained slight injuries. Arsen Julfalakyan might not take part in the World Wrestling Championships as well.
