World-famous Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan to perform in Taiwan
World-famous Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, who is gold medallist at the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, begins his Asian concert tour. The first concert of the Armenian musician is scheduled on May 30 at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.
As the cellist noted in a post on Facebook, he will perform a recital with Taiwanese pianist Artemis Yen. The concert program features pieces by Bach, Khudoyan, Ligeti, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich.

Hakhnazaryan was selected to the prestigious 2014 BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, and his performances are broadcast regularly on BBC Radio 3.
